Izmir Airport international arrivals: the meeting point (pillar C35)
The pillars outside the terminal buildings are supporting columns labelled with a letter and number. We use these labels as pickup points. Before you land, we send your driver’s details, the vehicle registration and a photo of the pickup point on WhatsApp.

Terminal pickup and meet and greet
The pillars outside the terminal buildings are supporting columns labelled with a letter and number. We use these labels as pickup points. Before you land, we send your driver’s details, the vehicle registration and a photo of the pickup point on WhatsApp.
Domestic arrivals: leave through Exit Gate A and turn left. The pillar labelled A4 is our suggested pickup point. International arrivals: leave through Exit Gate B and cross the pedestrian crossing. The pillar labelled C35 is our suggested pickup point. Once outside, send your driver the letter and number on the pillar beside you, or a photo. The vehicle waits outside the airport and normally reaches your pickup point about 3 minutes after your message. Check the registration before boarding. If you cannot find the suggested point, send another pillar’s label so the driver can confirm where to collect you.
Why do we collect you outside? Izmir is a medium-sized airport with limited parking and waiting space in front of its terminals. Vehicles must not wait outside international arrivals, and lanes have been narrowed to prevent roadside parking. This pickup method avoids carrying luggage to the car park, which can be difficult with many bags, for older passengers or for people who are unwell.
A meet and greet inside the terminal with a name sign is also available on request. The vehicle must be parked in the car park; after meeting your greeter, you walk there together with your luggage. Tell us at booking if walking is difficult for you. The extra charge for international arrivals is €10.

From Gate B to pillar C35: four steps

1 Head for Gate B
After customs, in the main hall follow the signs to "B Çıkışı / EXIT B". You pass a pharmacy and mobile operator counters on your right.

2 Step out through Gate B
Go out through the automatic glass doors marked "Gelen Yolcu / Arrival B".

3 Cross at the pedestrian crossing
Right in front of you is a pedestrian crossing; use it to reach the opposite pavement. Vehicles cannot stop in front of the terminal, so the meeting point is on the far side.

4 Wait at pillar C35
Once outside, send your driver the letter and number on the pillar beside you, or a photo. The vehicle waits outside the airport and normally reaches your pickup point about 3 minutes after your message. Check the registration before boarding. If you cannot find the suggested point, send another pillar’s label so the driver can confirm where to collect you.
If we cannot reach you (international arrivals)
If you cannot be reached by phone or internet, this is the routine on international arrivals; you only need to wait at pillar C35.
- Expected exit: with passport control and baggage, passengers reach the meeting point about 45 minutes after landing.
- First check: the car makes its first check about 45 minutes after landing.
- Waiting at the pillar: because of the stop-and-go rules in front of the terminal the car may not be able to stand at the pillar continuously; in heavy traffic the driver may park and walk over.
- Repeat checks: the car comes back to the meeting point every 10 minutes.
- Until you are on board: this continues until we reach you or you are in the car; waiting costs nothing.
International arrivals meeting: frequently asked questions
The passport queue took long. Will the driver wait?
Yes; on international arrivals it is normal for the exit to take 45 minutes. Waiting is free, with no time limit.
Can the driver meet me inside the terminal?

I do not speak Turkish. How do I communicate with the driver?
Some of our drivers speak fluent English. Request an English-speaking driver when booking; availability is confirmed before booking. The meeting is based on a photo and the plate number anyway, so you reach the car without needing to talk.
