Licensed airport transfer in Izmir: TÜRSAB, D2, U-ETDS and insurance
Short answer: a TÜRSAB-licensed agency + a D2-permitted vehicle + U-ETDS registration + passenger insurance. Without all four the ride is not legal and the passenger is unprotected in an accident. Transferiste: TÜRSAB 13692, since 2020.

What do "TÜRSAB licence" and "D2 permit" mean?
We operate within Altares Turizm Taşımacılık Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. as a TÜRSAB 13692 licensed travel agency. Our vehicles operate under a D2 transport permit; each journey is registered in U-ETDS and covered by passenger insurance.
TÜRSAB licence: the agency's document
TÜRSAB is the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies. A TÜRSAB licence number means the business holds an operating licence from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism under the Travel Agencies Law (no. 1618), and is inspected. Transfers may be sold only under this licence, and anyone can verify the number on TÜRSAB's agency search page. If something goes wrong, you are dealing with a registered agency, not a phone number that stops answering. Our licence: TÜRSAB 13692, since 2020, in the name of Altares Turizm Taşımacılık Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti..
D2 permit: the vehicle's document
Mercedes Vito: 7 passengers, 6 suitcases, 9+1 registration. Mercedes Sprinter: 16 passengers, 12 suitcases, 16+1 registration. Both are factory passenger vehicles, operated under a D2 transport permit with passenger insurance.
What to check when comparing prices
You may be offered different prices at the airport. When comparing, ask for the TÜRSAB agency number, the vehicle's D2 permit, passenger insurance and the cancellation terms; an unlicensed vehicle may lack them, and at a roadside check or in an accident the passenger may be left without cover. Ask for our documents at booking and we send them on WhatsApp; the TÜRSAB record is public on TÜRSAB's agency search. Details: what a licensed transfer is.
What does "licensed transfer" mean?
In Turkey, carrying passengers for a fee needs two separate documents, and both are required:
- TÜRSAB agency licence: the document of the party selling the transfer. Transferiste holds TÜRSAB licence 13692 in its own name as a A grubu seyahat acentesi (since 2020).
- D2 transport permit (Ministry of Transport): the vehicle's permit for non-scheduled passenger transport. Our vehicles operate under a D2 permit (sözleşmeli taşıyıcı firma üzerinden).
On top of these, every ride is reported to the U-ETDS system with the passenger's name and ID or passport number; that is why we ask for them at booking. The record proves at a roadside check that both the vehicle and the passenger are legal.
Insurance: who pays after an accident?
Carrier liability insurance and seat accident insurance apply only in permitted vehicles. In an unlicensed car the vehicle's own policy does not cover you; treatment and compensation stay with the passenger. On every one of our rides both insurances are in force.
Why can a sedan not be a "VIP transfer"?
Mercedes Vito: 7 passengers, 6 suitcases, 9+1 registration. Mercedes Sprinter: 16 passengers, 12 suitcases, 16+1 registration. Both are factory passenger vehicles, operated under a D2 transport permit with passenger insurance.
Driver documents
A driver carrying paying passengers holds a D1 licence, an SRC certificate and a psychotechnical report, renewed every 5 years. Our drivers' documents are shared on request at booking.
Why is the offer at the airport exit cheaper?
Because it carries no cost: no permit, no U-ETDS record, no passenger insurance, no tax. The difference shows when something goes wrong. With us the price is in writing before departure, the vehicle is licensed, the ride is insured, and the party responsible is an agency registered with TÜRSAB.
Why is our price different from the one at the airport exit?
We operate as a TÜRSAB-licensed travel agency and share vehicle and driver details before your transfer. You may be offered different prices at the airport. When comparing, ask for the TÜRSAB agency number, the vehicle's D2 permit, passenger insurance and the cancellation terms; an unlicensed vehicle may lack them, and at a roadside check or in an accident the passenger may be left without cover. With us the price is in writing before departure, the vehicle is licensed and the ride is insured; ask for the documents at booking and we send them. What a licensed transfer is →

How can you verify your transfer service?
Check the agency record through official sources. A TÜRSAB vehicle plate and a TÜRSAB-certified copy of the travel agency operating licence are both listed among the required transfer documents; neither replaces the other. The rules also list the passenger list, transfer representative ID and, for rented vehicles, a copy of the rental contract.
What is the difference between D2 and U-ETDS?
D2 authorises the carrier to provide non-scheduled domestic commercial passenger transport; it does not replace a travel agency operating licence. Our transport is provided under D2 through a contracted carrier. A U-ETDS journey record shows journey, vehicle, staff and passenger reporting; it is not the D2 authorisation certificate itself.

Licences and documents: frequently asked questions
Can I see your documents?
Yes. Our TÜRSAB licence 13692 is visible on TÜRSAB's agency search; the D2 permit and insurance documents are sent on WhatsApp on request at booking.
Why do you ask for my ID or passport number?
It is required for the U-ETDS notification: every commercial ride is registered with the Ministry of Transport under the passenger's name and ID or passport number. The data is used for that notification only.
What happens if I ride in an unlicensed vehicle?
At a roadside check the vehicle can be taken off the road and you are left stranded; in an accident the passenger insurance does not apply. That is the price of the cheap offer.
Is a TÜRSAB licence enough on its own?
No. TÜRSAB licenses the agency that sells the transfer; the vehicle must also hold a D2 permit. We provide both.
